Legal Support Specialist

The Legal Support Specialist is a key role within the Legal team in ensuring the smooth execution of legal documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including reviewing various legal agreements as a first level reviewer, managing statutory filings, and providing legal support on matters including managing KYC/AML requests for the group.

The Legal Support Specialist will contribute to the efficient operation of the legal department and ensure that all legal processes are followed accurately and timely. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external teams.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assist in reviewing and negotiating a variety of legal documentation, including non-disclosure agreements, investment management agreements, account opening agreements, services agreements, broker agreements, trading agreements, custody agreements and administration agreements.
• Provide legal transactional support including reviewing and processing transaction documents.
• Provide time‐sensitive support on a wide array of legal inquiries on matters such as operations, customer due diligence, organizational data, data protection and human resource.
• Assist with the management of the filing of returns relating to FATCA and CRS regulatory requirements applicable to the local and offshore entities.
• Work with third‐party company secretarial service providers of the group to ensure delivery of effective and efficient services.
• Attend to KYC requests from counterparties on the group entities.
• Ensure all applicable statutory and regulatory filings for local and offshore group entities are completed in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including fund administrators, external legal counsel, and company secretaries to ensure smooth communication and document exchanges.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or other academic qualifications in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience of 2-3 years as a paralegal or legal associate, either in-house or at a law firm is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with corporate, AML/CFT laws and regulations in Singapore (such as the Securities & Futures Act and MAS Notices and Guidelines) and the Cayman Islands is helpful but not required.
• High Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ownership and highly inquisitive mindset to work independently in a dynamic environment
• Strong organizational, technical and analytical skills with a proactive mindset, attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• A strong team player who can work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues across functions.

Junior Trader, Public Equity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Trader to join our trading desk. This role supports both long-short and long-only strategy funds, contributing to the execution and management of trades in a dynamic environment. The Junior Trader will be responsible for executing trades and monitor market/ portfolio positioning.

Responsibilities:

• Execute trades in accordance with the firm’s investment strategies and risk parameters for both long-short and long-only funds. The trade would include orders in global public equity, OTC and listed derivatives, as well as FX.
• Provide market colour and flows to the Portfolio Managers on the stock markets and also on price movements of individual stocks. Monitor market trends, news, and economic indicators to assess potential impacts on portfolio positions.
• Collaborate with the Senior Trader, Portfolio Managers and analysts to develop and refine trading strategies.
• Work closely with operations team for day to day trade booking, reconciliation matters
• Ensure the highest quality of trade execution and maintain accurate records of all trades and positions, fully complying with internal policies and regulations.
• Assist in the development of trading algorithms and tools to enhance trading efficiency.
• Provide timely reports and updates on trading performance to the Senior Trader and CIO.
• Develop strong relationships and network with brokers to enhance trading opportunities and insights.
• Leverage data analytics and digital tools to enhance the trading platform and improve execution strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field CFA professional certification
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in trading, investment analysis, or a related role, preferably within from the buy-side.
• Proficiency in trading platforms and tools, with a keen interest in market dynamics.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• High proficiency in Bloomberg, FactSet, and other financial research tools.
• Possess programming knowledge including proficiency in Python/SQL/C++ .
• A positive work attitude, love of learning, and adaptability.
• Self-driven, ability to work independently with minimum supervision, and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
